fear, a cold war fear, green walls,<\/p>\n
bowed heads, the fear<\/p>\n
baby boomers might have experienced;<\/p>\n

I wanted suicide pills in my pocket, just in case<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t want survival. Fear of what:<\/p>\n
a nuclear weapon, a bomb? No bomb<\/p>\n
shelter. I was clueless. \u00a0I wasn\u2019t fit<\/p>\n
to be a living martyr.<\/p>\n

But, that was then, pre-Kennedy.\u00a0 I was<\/p>\n
eleven or twelve, without words.\u00a0 Intellect<\/p>\n
was government food on the table, cradled<\/p>\n
by child support and a fearless, single<\/p>\n
mother.<\/p>\n

2017, fear is hot, fear an inferno.<\/p>\n
Fear deeper than a sixth grade girl,<\/p>\n
green walls, a cold war.<\/p>\n

THIS fear is smart fear.\u00a0 Aware.<\/p>\n
Listens.\u00a0 Questions.\u00a0 What is<\/p>\n
An Executive Order?\u00a0 Grand<\/p>\n
Standing, a stance set in brick<\/p>\n
walls?\u00a0 Walls do eventually<\/p>\n
crumble or get knocked down.<\/p>\n
I like my walls to be fences,<\/p>\n
fences to be metaphor, satire,<\/p>\n
and cost nothing\u2014but wisdom.<\/p>\n
Free words rumbling<\/p>\n
and tumbling wild.<\/p>\n

This fear knows too much.\u00a0 It weighs<\/p>\n
heavy with take aways and prophet<\/p>\n
demands.<\/p>\n

I have known prophets. Who hasn\u2019t believed<\/p>\n
they were Jesus? I was a flower child, more<\/p>\n
child than prophet, more disciple than deity.<\/p>\n
Some of us deserve empathy.\u00a0 Call it<\/p>\n
maturation.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some say mentally unstable,<\/p>\n
deranged.\u00a0 Don\u2019t be fooled.<\/p>\n
One has to be worthy<\/p>\n
of psychiatric labeling \u00a0as excuse or definition.<\/p>\n
Evil.\u00a0 Out of control narcissist. Evil.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve seen it before, but never this pronounced.<\/p>\n

Greed is unbelievable and unbecoming.\u00a0 Greed will be<\/p>\n
Undone.\u00a0 I call for a bell bottom revival, tie<\/p>\n
dye shirts, and love-ins.\u00a0 \u201cThe Mystical Magical Tour\u201d<\/p>\n
and the \u201cWhite Rabbit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reefer is everywhere, we\u2019ve got the weed.\u00a0 At least,<\/p>\n
